Minnesota’s first* Adventure Playground
Perhaps you have heard of Adventure Playgrounds. Over 80 years ago an architect in Denmark noticed that kids were playing everywhere EXCEPT on the playground equipment that he designed. He figured out that kids in the city wanted the same experiences as kids living in the country, “A junk playground in which children could create and shape, dream and imagine a reality.”
The outdoor yard at Leonardo’s Basement is perfect for such a play and build area. The Millennium Falcon and Tojan Horse can set the stage for games & play… and things like: shovels, bricks, rope, balls, drills, saws, wood & other junk will be outside for shared projects!
You come prepared to create your own fun with new friends & we will provide modest supervision.
NOTES:
1. Sturdy closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty (and wet!) are required (sneakers, boots or tennis=yes shoes sandals & flip flops are not allowed)
2. A Signed waver is required.
3. Adventure Playground is open 2nd and 4th Saturdays from noon-2:00 pm, May thru September. $10/day. Space is limited & Registration is required.
