Kids and teens came to Leonardo’s Basement this summer from a lot of different places, for many reasons! A few students shared with us the reason they came to Leonardo’s Basement: “I get use tools”, “to play outside”, to make something specific (a present, a coat rack, a pie launcher, a video game, and a cat tree, to name a few) , because “my cousin was coming”, “I am really good at making things”, “I wanted to learn how to use the laser”, and because “there is so much cool junk, you can make anything” ! This summer’s students hailed from: Abu Dahbi, New York, New Jersey, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Florida, California, Oklahoma and Texas and dozens of places within Minnesota including Duluth, Rochester and the Prospect Park neighborhood! We are grateful to the parents, grandparents and other caregivers who shared their kids with us!
We had 11 weeks of summer which included more than 112 workshops for ages 6-17! It’s impossible to capture all of it, but here are a few snapshops from one week. Want more photos and information? Join our email list! Curious about school year fun for kids, teens and adults? Check here!
